Thai Cuisine
Tom yam goong nam khon (Prawn tom yam with coconut milk)Thai Cuisine must consist of four seasoning (調味料) , Salty, Sour, Spicy and Sweet. Cuisine that contains less than those four taste senses will be considered as unsatisfactory. So, it is not wondering that why the Thai cuisines are colourful! I have tried Tom Yam Goong ( 東蔭公湯)before and that was so spicy, but I love it because of its amazing, special taste. As you can see the picture above, the colour of the soup is red! You can imagine how it tastes, haha :) Thai Food is an important element in social occasions, therefore, the Thai cuisines are usually shared by a group of family or friends...Eating Thai food alone is thought as unlucky.

Ladyboys in Thailand ( กะเทย;)
Ladyboys (Kathoey) means Male-to-female Transgender. It is assumed as a third gender in Thailand. Kathoeys are more accepted in the Thai society and Culture than those in other countries. Therefore, they have more choices of work. Meanwhile,Kathoeys are more likely to do female occupations, for instance, assistant in shops or beauty salon. Some of them may also have dancing performance at the entertainment centres. Tourists love taking photos with them!
Let me show you a video of Ladyboys' show.

Dear Natalie,
回覆刪除Thank you for your sharing! I am a big fan of Thai food too, as I love the Thai style combination of piquancy. sour and sweet taste.
Besides Tom Yan Goong ( 東蔭公湯), Grilled Shrimp and Papaya Salad, Stir-fried Minced Pork Wrapped in Lettuce and Vietnamese Pork Rice Paper Rolls are my favourites.
My mouth is watering...*(T)*
Best wishes,
Cath

Hi Nat, I am Miller.
回覆刪除This song is so good.
I like it. But do you feel that Thailand is a country that often provides 2 language of the name of the food? Is Thailand bilingual?
